Summary: I've had this collection for years. These games bring so much value to the table because if you ever plunked down quarters back in the '80s you can finally get your money's worth here. I always look for these collections, they provide diversion without getting you so immersed in story that you waste time. When these games were produced you could never win because these was no end to the mayhem. Just more difficulty and hopefully higher scores.
Summary: What is that saying - somebody's treasure is somebody else's trash? I can see how some people would treasure this; they have probably played it 3 decades ago (or however long) and they have good memories of it - now they have fun all over again. God knows that I still treasure certain really bad games, and even worse movies, that I used to love as a kid... Even though I now realize how utterly lame they were, it doesn't stop or diminish my enjoyment one bit.
Summary: i purchased this game strictly for "paperboy" & "spy hunter". the "spy hunter" gameplay is outdated as expected; but paperboy is a game i can enjoy with my 4 year old. about 28 titles are included on the disc & it's kinda fun playing games i used quarters for as a kid.
Summary: This is actually the 2nd time that I've puchased this game. I LOVE THE GAME, don't get me wrong, but the XBOX 360 states that it can play regular XBOX games, and IT CAN'T!!! I'm so sad, that I have my Klax right in my house and I CAN'T USE IT!!! If you DO have an XBOX regular, and you're around my age (30), this is a game that will bring you to complete nostalgia! It has Rampage, Klax, Root Beer Tapper, just all the old fun that you haven't seen since your childhood!
Summary: This is an essential collection for fans of old-school gaming. The games are just as challenging as way-back when in the arcades. Joust is my favorite. The sequel adds some cool twists as well. The value is unbeatable.
Summary: I originally rented this compilation to keep my girlfriend entertained one night - I saw that it had Joust, one of her favorite childhood video games. What I hadn't realized was just how many of my own favorite childhood games Midway had made: Sinistar, Satan's Hollow, RoadBlasters, 720, and best of all, that gloriously destructive Rampage. We spent five full hours the first night of the rental playing Joust and Rampage together and laughed the entire time.
Summary: If you like playing classic games on your Xbox, then you definitely need the Xgaming X-Arcade joystick (ASIN B00008ELB0 or B00006I5ZX), preferably the 2-player version. I tried playing Joust, and the standard Xbox "S" controller was really holding me back. These 80's games depend on "button smashing", and that's something the Xbox controller doesn't handle well.
Summary: All 24 games have configurable settings such as number of lives, difficulty, continues and game-specific options. There are also game-controller settings in case you are not comfortable with the button location defaults. Many games include design notes, pictures, trivia, videos, and a brief history.
