Excerpt: FIFA 2002, it must be Christmas again, well nearly; no actually this is the summer version, World cup 2002 (FIFA 11, I think). With the world cup we come to expect a new FIFA release, but are these games any good and is this one the best or even better? Well the answer to these questions is this, again it?s better than that years but not in giant leap terms. The game has been completely overhauled in the passing area of things, which is what it needed.
Summary: Great graphics do not make great games. FIFA World Cup 2002 offers some of the most realistic graphics I have seen in a footbal game. You can see the players walk onto the pitch and actually recognise the faces. The makers seem to have gotten a bit carried away though. When I play a football game I want realistic action, where this game fails is with all of the added touches, which may look good but are pointless and ultimately annoying.
Might be worth waiting for FIFA World Cup 2008......

Summary: mmmmm, not too sure about this one. Last played a FIFA game on the N64 (FIFA 98 if i remember correctly) and we don't appear to have moved on much further since then. The FIFA series of games were always regarded as high on visual impact but lacking in gameplay. EA have gone to great lengths to improve the gameplay and to a certain extent they have been successful.
