Good but possibly short life span

Mark, Amazon
20 August 2004
  • Summary: Probably the best football game I have played. Good animations and easy to pick up the basic controls (needs practice for special moves). As this is the world cup version you can only play in that tournament or a one match friendly (non world cup nations included eg Scotland!

Fifa - but not like it should be

Amazon
20 August 2004
  • Summary: This is by far the worst football game I have yet played. Don't get me wrong, the graphics are superb, and the abilities of the players excellent. But on my first attempt i got to the final! Says it all. Far too easy - definitely designed for kids. Grown up kids - dont bother!

  • Summary: Amazing graphics and excellent game play makes this one of the best footballing games I have ever played. You just get on with it. No hassle, just get on the pitch & play. It's smooth, fun & will have you hooked in no-time! Games like this make you feel glad you bought an X-box.

Amazing atmosphere!

  • Summary: OK, I haven't played Pro Evolution Soccer. But I love the world cup, there is nothing else that can touch it. This game REALLY makes you feel you are IN the world cup! Extra time golden goal, penalties, last minute equaliser.

Might be worth waiting for FIFA World Cup 2008......

Amazon
20 August 2004
  • Summary: mmmmm, not too sure about this one. Last played a FIFA game on the N64 (FIFA 98 if i remember correctly) and we don't appear to have moved on much further since then. The FIFA series of games were always regarded as high on visual impact but lacking in gameplay.

Not bad!

Amazon
20 August 2004
  • Summary: Only got it today so these views are first opinions only. Presentation is usual exemplary EA Sports fayre. The gameplay is good once you've whacked the speed up to the max. Tackling is a bit cack and the through ball function could be better thought out but on the whole the passing and shooting is...

Graphics not gameplay

Amazon
20 August 2004
  • Summary: Great graphics do not make great games. FIFA World Cup 2002 offers some of the most realistic graphics I have seen in a footbal game. You can see the players walk onto the pitch and actually recognise the faces. The makers seem to have gotten a bit carried away though.

2002 FIFA World Cup ( Xbox)

IBRAHIM ALBADI, Amazon
20 August 2004
  • Summary: When I bought my Xbox back in March, the only game I really wanted to experience was Fifa 2002. However, guess what it wasn't available; but now it is, and it was well worth the wait.

Its Fifa, but not as we know it

Josh@herongate.demon.co.uk, Amazon
20 August 2004
  • Summary: Fifa changes with every game, they seem to alternate between powering up shots and just tapping the button, this is a power up incarnation, which makes long shots possible which is good, but gameplay is so slow even when sprinting its still pretty slow, i swear each fifa game gets slightly slower.

this game is a gem

"milly8473", Amazon

  • Summary: in the past i have been unable to sit and play fifa titles because of the hopeless a.i and the sloppy looking in game graphics , but with this xbox version all the problems i have encountered with previous fifa titles seem to have gone .
