Harbor Freight $50 gun out performs this dewalt?!??

Adam DeLoe, Amazon
19 February 2016
  • Summary: I receive this electric impact two weeks ago, it wouldn't take off 100 lb torqued lug nuts. It had mixed reviews, so I thought maybe I got a bad one... Returned it and got the replacement yesterday.... Something!

Defective or just plain bad product?

Son, Amazon
14 October 2014
  • Summary: I bought the corded impact wrench, thinking that I wouldn't have to worry about juice coming to it, that and I have always been a fan and owner of the Dewalt tools. This thing lacks power. 345lb of torque? Where?

insufficient torque

San Diego, Amazon
22 June 2014
  • Summary: Nowhere near 345 ft.lbs.... maybe 80-100? Very disappointing, and not capable for loosening really tight bolts and nuts on cars.

Useless

Galaxy S3, Amazon
17 June 2014
  • Summary: I have always been a fan of DeWalt products, but this Impact Wrench is totally useless. It was unable to remove the wheel lug bolts on my Jetta. I was able to remove them with a socket wrench easily. I have used DeWalt drills that have more force.

Dissapointed

  • Summary: Dissapointed. I thought I would spend the money and treat myself to what I thought was a better electric impact wrench compared to the one I bought at Harbor Frieght 10 or so years ago for $40.00 with coupon.

Not worth the buy

Bryan Roman, Amazon
3 January 2012
  • Summary: Absolute garbage. I needed to get the axle nut off for my 96 Honda Accord but it wouldnt budge. The sad part is that i had already broken the nut loose a month ago with a breaker bar. I've read up on a lot of other reviews and it seems clear that the 345 ft lb torque rating is a joke.

40ft/lb impact wrench. Useless.

Alex, Amazon
3 January 2012
  • Summary: Rated at 345ft/lbs? It couldn't even remove my lightly torqued lug nuts. Made a ton of noise and couldn't budge anything. I followed the directions and used proper gauge extension cord... listen to the 1 star reviews.

  • Summary: Bought this to remove the crankshaft pulley bolt on a 97 toyota Avalon. The Torque specifications on the bolt are 160 ft lbs. This was rated for much more, but couldn''t remove the bolt in reverse! Taking it back and I''ll edit this post later to share what product I used that worked.
