Defective or just plain bad product?

  • Summary: I bought the corded impact wrench, thinking that I wouldn't have to worry about juice coming to it, that and I have always been a fan and owner of the Dewalt tools. This thing lacks power. 345lb of torque? Where? I tried to loosen a lug nut off my tires(just about 100lbs of torque) and it just cranked for 20 seconds. It didn't even budge the nut. I pulled the socket off the nut and held onto the socket while it was attached to the impact.

insufficient torque

  • Summary: Nowhere near 345 ft.lbs.... maybe 80-100? Very disappointing, and not capable for loosening really tight bolts and nuts on cars.

  • Summary: I have always been a fan of DeWalt products, but this Impact Wrench is totally useless. It was unable to remove the wheel lug bolts on my Jetta. I was able to remove them with a socket wrench easily. I have used DeWalt drills that have more force. The torque on this impact wrench is comparable to setting the clutch at 10 or so on a normal DeWalt cordless drill. I found this to be a very unsatisfactory product and will be returning it.
