Summary: Hard to beat for the price. I have to admit, I was a little worried if this would be up to the task of changing out a lower control arm on our van. With some of the reviews indicating it wouldn't break lug nuts loose, I had a back-up plan to procure a Milwaukee Fuel 18v wrench.
Summary: Have a 10 year old Cub Cadet that needed new blades. They had never been changed and the nut holding them was extremely tight. I tried breaker bars with up to a 4 foot pipe on the end- no good. Tried oiling them for a week- no good. I got this as a last result before taking the mower deck to a shop.
Pros: Easy Control, Ergonomic Design, Good Grip, Powerful Torque
Summary: Just finished 4-wheel brake job on wifey's Envoy. This thing is great! Not just the lug nuts, but I had a bleeder on the rear caliper that wouldn't budge with my 3/8 drive ratchet. I thought I was going to need a new caliper so no loss if I ruined it.
Summary: Absolute garbage. I needed to get the axle nut off for my 96 Honda Accord but it wouldnt budge. The sad part is that i had already broken the nut loose a month ago with a breaker bar. I've read up on a lot of other reviews and it seems clear that the 345 ft lb torque rating is a joke.
Summary: Have had this impact tool for 10 years and has certainly been useful when working on cars. Just make sure you use impact sockets, it simply doesn't work as good with regular sockets. My current project will be removing a upper control arm ball joint.
