Summary: I bought the corded impact wrench, thinking that I wouldn't have to worry about juice coming to it, that and I have always been a fan and owner of the Dewalt tools. This thing lacks power. 345lb of torque? Where? I tried to loosen a lug nut off my tires(just about 100lbs of torque) and it just cranked for 20 seconds. It didn't even budge the nut. I pulled the socket off the nut and held onto the socket while it was attached to the impact.
Summary: I torque my lug nuts no more than 80 pounds. It took them right off but so what? Well, it means, I can jack the car up then remove the lug nuts instead of braking them loose first, worth the price of admission right there. I had an axle go bad and the shop refused to torque the axle nut. They used an impact gun. It should have been 145 pounds and it was more. So this thing zipped it right off and I re-torqued it.
Summary: I ordered this on my brother's recommendation. I purchased a new Scag 61'' ZT mower and was having trouble removing the mower blade retainer bolt (15/16"). Wanted to change the blades but even a 3' leaver would not break the nut loose. The Dewalt did the job in about 3 seconds. Use it regularly and love it. Thanks for a fine product.
