Summary: Plugged the WRE2205 in. Pressed the WPS buttons on router and it, and it worked seemlessly. Web app for administration alerted me to the fact that my Wireless N router is no longer sending on the 802.11n protocol, but all is working fine with b/g. I'll have to replace my Cisco LinkSys WRT310N router to get all of the bandwidth I want, but no complaints on the WRE2205.
Summary: THE ZYXEL RANGE EXTENDER WORKS GREAT. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAD IS THE INSTRUCTIONS. IN THE INSTRUCTIONS, WHICH ARE VERY BRIEF, IT DOES NOT STATE YOU NEED TO DISCONNECT YOUR WIRELESS ON YOUR LAPTOP. THEN FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. THEN CONNECT YOUR LAPTOP TO YOUR WIRELESS AS USUAL. THE ZYXEL IF WORKING PROPERLY WILL NOT SHOW UP AT ALL. IT BLENDS WITH YOUR WIRELESS.
Summary: This is a review on the first day of use, I will update this later Likes: It actually works! My wireless router is in the basement on the left side of my house. I needed access from the second floor right side of my house. After setting up this device I went from 1 wi-fi bar to 4 wi-fi bars (a full set) or, using the WiFi Analyzer on my phone, from -90 db to -30 db. So far, there are no glitches in service. It took 5 minutes to set up using the supplied Ethernet cable.
