Pros: Could double as a door stop. Taught me never to by ZyXEL
Cons: Broken out of the box. Contacted ZyXEL and was ignored. ZyXEL apparently has so many customers, they do not need any more. NONE OF THE RESET INSTRUCTIONS WORK! Actually, none of the instructions worked.
Summary: The range extender works very well but the instructions were far from clear. The set up is very simple but this is not described in the leaflets that accompanied it. I had to cakll the supplier and as before they were very helfpul talking me through the set up. Not exactly plug and play but I cant think of anything with that description that is.
Summary: I've read some of the previous comments and surprised at what people have written. Firstly I do work in IT and have some experience of networks. I did the "manual" way by connecting it to a laptop via a network cable and followed the instructions TO THE LETTER. It found my main wireless router (BT Home Hub 3) and I just followed the wizard. After configuration it suggested a name for the AP. I gave it a slightly different one so I could connect to it.
Summary: Although my house is not huge the reception from my Sky modem was definitely slowed when I moved the main desk top downstairs. This purchase has definitely sped it up and also allowed all of us in the home to use our tablets over the whole house.
Summary: I have fibre broadband and brought 2 of these to extend my network as well as attach a media server to one of them. I find they slow down the connection speed so cannot be used for streaming as video keep freezing!!! Ok for web surfing but find it abit slow.
