Summary: This device works well. The only issue I have and cannot pin point is wether this device causes Netflix to disconnect very often. I am also leaning toward UPNP issues in my router but would have to wait for firmware update on my router.
Performance Is Very Much Specific Cirsumstance Based
4 weeks ago
Summary: The performance of these things is greatly dependent on the particular installation; that is, the wiring at the location, the distance between the units and interference of other electronics. Here are my circumstances: I live in a house with 2 other roommates.
It works.. but not better than less expensive 200 Mps

Summary: I had been using a negear that was rated at 200 Mps I thought that this being the AV2 and utilizing 2 of the electrical lines it my video would stream w/o fail Well.. this did no better than the Netgear unit... I am sending back for refund
Summary: Was lazy to run a ethernet cable to the basement, so got these instead. They were great when they worked, but they were losing connection several times a day and had to be power cycled to get the connection back.
Summary: While these adapters are great and no-frills, wish one of them didn't die so suddenly. I've contacted ZyXEL support and will follow up on how well they do. -2 eggs for the spontaneous failure. I still would recommend these despite the hardware issue.
Pros: Simple plug-and-play, you don't really need the driver CD unless you want to use the Firmware Update utility. Built well enough in terms of quality, and the speed was pretty good as well. Obviously not up to snuff with real Ethernet, but it gets the job done.
Cons: One of the adapters stopped working completely, no lights at all, and smells like burned electronics. Perhaps a capacitor blew? Guess I just got unlucky. My other minor complaint is that it's a wall wart shape so you'll need to plug it in the lower outlet or upside down if you want to use both ou...
Summary: Forget the manual! Forget the software (OK to use to 'look at and see', but not for setting up a secure system. I needed to mount 2 security cameras in my detached garage, and figured these would be easier then running RJ45 cables.
Pros: Does what it needs too.
Cons: Software, setting up a 'private' secure system.
Summary: The range really stinks on these. I live in a 2 story house and needed to get the internet into a closet in the first floor from about 20 feet away in the second story. I am sitting on 1 - 2 bars out of 4 worth of signal.
Summary: Pairing was a snap. It does it automatically. I'm only getting about 6 Mbps in my house but maybe its old wiring on separate circuits. When I connect them on same circuit, I get way more speed. But even the slow speed its still good enough to stream HD video except 1080p does not stream fast enough.
