Summary: I was given one of these when I hooked up to verizon fios and my laptop at the time did ot have wifi. It was easy to set up with their (zyxel) software and has worked well ever since. I gave that lap top away and it is still working well.
Summary: Works perfectly on both Windows 7 Enterprise (x64) Professional (x64) & possibly also on Windows 8.1 Enterprise x64/Pro (x64)! Original Beta-Tests> Windows 7 Enterprise (x64) beta-tests results were as follows> - down-stream 32.09MB/Sec & 9.09MB/sec up-stream with all five bars lit up!
Summary: I bought this adapter to allow my desktop PC to directly access a separate wireless network I maintain for IP cams utilizing a Zyxel router. I opened it up and plugged it in and Win 7 installed the driver, I entered the wifi passcode and that was that, Worked out of the box. Can't really ask for more than that.
Summary: Installed this wireless adapter with software, well within a few minutes caused my computer to crash. Contacted zyxel and they said to try without software, fine Ill try anything, hate wasting money. No more crashes however get disconnected every 5 minutes, have to disconnect and reconnect, and still only lets you stay online 5 minutes, worst purchase EVER!!!! will never buy zyxel again.
Summary: In the beginning the item was not working correctly, but I later found out that it was more my Internet which seem to blink on and off periodically during the day. I was under the impression that FIOS was the best vehicle out there in relations to searching the net.
Summary: I got this to boost wireless speeds on my older "G"-equipped laptop. Paired with a Zyxel 300Mbps wireless access point (WAP3205) I am getting surprisingly good throughput speeds (above 7MB/s sustained occasionally but usually 5.5MB/s-6.5MB/s). There is a trick, though. Plugged directly into the computer, speeds were unpredictable. I then used the stiff 6'' USB extension cable (included) to get the wireless bug away from the laptop chassis and it now works consistently.
Summary: Works great on personal computers that don't include a built-in WiFi adapter. Connects really well and streaming is fluent at least on a 5M speed. You HAVE to install software first and then the device becomes usable. It would have been better if the device auto installed but then again that doesn't make it less versatile than it already is. Bottom line: I Loved It!!!
