Summary: Good price but inconsistent connectivity. Worked great for about two weeks but then I started dropping connectivity hourly. I reset it and switched outlets but nothing has helped. I have another Powerline adapter that works great and will purchase another one of the same brand (Cisco).
Summary: Would have been nice to see it work. Always preferred wired to wireless connections. Main reason I decided to try this.
Pros: Hard to list considering I never got it to work
Cons: Really bad documentation and software wasn't helpful either. The entire quick guide and manual assumes perfect operation, provides no real trouble shooting tools or information. The guide mentions several times the importance of the encryption key and that both must match. However there is no way...
Summary: I ordered 2 sets of these because they were nice and cheap. They seem to drop the connection every 5 minutes or so. It's really annoying, I can wait for 2 minutes for the connection to come back or reach under my desk and reset it.
Pros: They work fairly well while they have a connection.
Cons: They drop connection every 5-10 minutes for 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
Excerpt: I bought these devices and they work for about 10 month . I notice my network connection started to keep dropping and then it failed.I even put the 2 devices right next to each other. Nothing.I'm not buying this brand again.
Summary: First off I bought this in hopes to increase my speed to my laptop four rooms away and around the corner away from the router. during peak times these may sustain a higher speed level to my laptop but flat out testing and comparing they do not match up to my expectations or hopes, and surely not the...
Pros: They do work, simple to install, got them on sale.
Cons: While these do work as a stand alone supply of internet thru the wall, I am disappointed in the speed or the lack of. 1st---laptop mentioned in other thoughts--wireless or power line or both connected or any of them separate I get 32 mb download, 5 up. same laptop next to my router--wireless is 5...
Cons: I really wanted this to work, but maybe it is a solution in search of a problem. I did not have any particular problem with wifi but wanted to avoid over-using wireless bandwidth when multiple streams are going. My wifi speeds between two system were slower than wired Ethernet LAN transfers, but ...
Summary: I'm not feeling confident about the two remaining devices. Hope this is just a fluke. I am calling TRENDnet support right now.
Pros: The ones that are still working are performing well.
Cons: I purchased two "sets" (four devices). They worked for a day and then I came home from work to find two of the devices were no longer connected to the network, would not reconnect, are unable to be reset, etc, etc. They just appear to be dead.
