Summary: This is a relatively inexpensive Powerline adapter that works well. The three ports are especially nice for plugging in multiple computers, game consoles, etc for consistent network connectivity. It even allows me to extend my network from my house to my workshop which is situated a few hundred feet away from the house.
Summary: I love these TRENDnet Powerline adapters. This was 5th one I've bought for my house and all you need to do is plug another adapter into a wall socket and off you go. Very fast with our Gigabit switch running the entire house from the basement. Getting this three port adapter allowed us to keep another socket free and to network our Roku and Blu-Ray player for viewing in our entertainment system. Highly recommended.
Summary: I bought a pair of Trendnet with a single port, and I bought this 3 port to add to my existing Powerline system. I don't know how different brand mix and match works but if you buy the same brand they just works. My pair works perfectly with this 3-port. I would rather buy the Powerline adapter than running cables, even though cable is faster, you don't see messy ethernet cables running all over the place.
Summary: I bought these Powerline Ethernet adapters to see if they would be more reliable than the wireless connection with a USB wireless adapter I've been using. My router is in the basement and the laptop computer is in an upstairs bedroom. The connection was unreliable and pretty frustrating to use.
