Reached pretty far..

Michael, Amazon
25 March 2014
  • Summary: We had one office on it's own DSL line. I didn't like paying for two separate accounts. We plugged this baby in and canceled the second account.

A good value purchase

Cruzr Guy "Bill Branner", Amazon
4 February 2014
  • Summary: The unit itself works well and was easy to install. I knocked off a star (considered subtracting 2) because of the screen user interface. It is pretty flaky in my opinion. Connection status displays are mysterious (especially when there is a connection problem) with no explanation of what they mean.

Great USB Drive

Robert N., Newegg
14 October 2013
  • Summary: This is a fantastic USB Drive. My laptop does not have a dual band adapter internally, so if i'm looking to do larger file transfers over a network, I'll either plug in hardwired, or use this wireless device. I always carry a spare network adapter whenever going for a computer repair call.
  • Pros: The wireless adapter does not have any external antennas which is fantastic for throwing inside of a laptop bag. Reliable in the short use that I have gotten with it. Have not had any disconnect, or quality of service issues from the adapter. Dual band connects fine, no special settings required ...
  • Cons: Being that it is USB without an antenna, its range is not as impressive as one with an antenna. Device got fairly hot after prolonged use. I work at home and the device is on for at least 8-10 hours a day. With that being said, using the dongle provided in the package seems to alleviate a lot of ...

Good for Price

Kenneth R., Newegg
3 September 2013
  • Summary: Purchased two of these at a terrific Newegg price for the church computers. Computers are about 60 feet from the router. For some reason, I had to use the TRENDnet software to connect on the Win XP machine. Windows wireless would not obtain IP. The included TRENDnet software solved problem.
  • Pros: Wireless N Dual Band Easy setup on both Win XP and Windows 7 Good wireless speeds at short range Price
  • Cons: Limited range

It Works!

JASPER G., Amazon
8 June 2013
  • Summary: I found the product easy to install and it immediately connected to my network. Works like a charm when close enough to your router. Problem I have is it doesn't want to connect at 300 Mbps in the home location I desire. However, I confess I've had similar problems with previous devices I tried.

A few harmless quirks, but it gets the job done

D. Miller "Tetzel1517", Amazon
22 August 2012
  • Summary: I installed this on my G5 iMac, which natively only has 802.11g wi-fi. But with this adapter attached, I was able to stream 720p video from my iMac to the Apple TV without the slightest stutter.

Working well for me under Linux.

Sean Reifschneider, Amazon
22 August 2012
  • Summary: I've been using this wireless dongle under Ubuntu 12.04 Linux for around 3 months and have been very happy with it. I wasn't really looking for super high transfer speeds so much as a solid connection and the ability to use both 2.4 and 5.2GHz bands, because 2.4 can be problematic due to it having...
