Summary: This adapter is garbage. It consistently overheats and therefore causes lag spikes and disconnects. For $30 you can get a good internal wireless card which can at least be cooled by your internal fans. Save yourself time, money, and frustration by not buying this clearly inferior product.

Summary: installed driver and didn't work for Windows 7. It would conflict with Internal wifi card of my T440S laptop. I disable my internal wifi card and the Trendnet wifi would not show up on device manager no more.

Summary: A terrible product. Worked well for a month or two, now mysteriously bottlenecks my 5ghz Wireless N network to 500KB/s (!), and will not connect to the 2.4ghz N network. Re-installing drivers fixes teh problem for about an hour before it comes back.
Summary: Works well in Linux with a driver that is now on github. I am using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS x86_64, and the driver at github dot com slash caljorden slash rtl8812AU_8821AU_linux seems to do the job nicely.
Summary: I love love things that work like they should and this just does that! Took me 5 minutes to get my old computer that does not have a wifi card connected to my wireless router. Highly recommend this project.
