Just what I needed

Joseph N., Newegg
31 December 2013
  • Pros: It works on my Aspire 3680 running triple booting Vista, Linux Mint and Snow Leopard. The fact that it would work on OSX was the main reason I bought it.
  • Cons: None so far.

Not bad, but the bundled software sucks

Riley T., Newegg
29 October 2013
  • Summary: Regardless, if you can find a way around the annoying program, such as disabling it from starting when windows powers up, then you shouldn't have any issues with this device.
  • Pros: It works...
  • Cons: But only works when the bundled software is installed. If you remove the software, you remove the driver for the device. Further, the software stops my computer (Windows 7 32bit) from automatically connecting to a wifi network on startup. Not entirely sure why.

Exceptionally tired of even TRYING to get them working on Windows 8

James T., Newegg
25 August 2013
  • Summary: (WHY add an extra utility when Windows can handle connection?) After install, no available networks could be seen by Windows OR the utility. Every other USB wireless dongle I have bought has been an efortless install. This was 100% frustration. They're going back.
  • Pros: Looks nice. Was a great price (if I could have gotten it to work)
  • Cons: Couldn't get either of the two I ordered to work. I was excited by the great sale price- now I suspect I know why it was on sale. Win 8 did not even see the added hardware, The install drivers/utility was useless, too.
