Unsupported by TrendNet

Kayla P., Newegg
30 July 2014
  • Summary: Works fine on Win7, but those on Windows 8 BEWARE before you buy, I consistently could not get this item to work. Purchased through another store, not NewEgg.
  • Pros: Inexpensive
  • Cons: TrendNet does NOT support this item for Windows 8 - there is no excuse to leave the most recent Windows OS unsupported on a product you are still selling.

Very nice budget card

Aleksandar K., Newegg
11 July 2014
  • Summary: I have just recently upgraded to N Wireless router from Asus and it works like a charm. I have cable internet of 58MBps (Blast package) and I get 56MBps speed on my desktop computer that is actually on the second floor of my house about 15ft away from the router... using 2.4GHz n network...
  • Pros: Easy to install; drivers installed quick with minimum effort; really really good performance on N wireless router (Asus RT-N66R)
  • Cons: For the first time in the last year it dropped today but updating the driver placed it back on track and I am good to go :)

Jerg, NCIX.com

  • Summary: Just an all-around solid WiFi PCI-e card, not much more to say really. I'd suggest against installing any driver software from the CD, just let Windows install the barebone drivers for it to work, and forget about it.
  • Pros: Fast * stable wifi connectivity * fairly discrete in the PC build
  • Cons: Driver software is clunky * larger antennae would have been nice

Bad network card, past warranty.

  • Summary: I purchased this with the intention of installing it in my main computer when switching rooms as a temporary fix until I could reroute the network cables in my house to accommodate the new location.

Returning...

Diana M., Newegg
27 October 2013
  • Summary: This card is definitely compatible with my motherboard, but it still doesn't work. I followed the instructions correctly and to the letter, but the thing couldn't find any of the dozen WiFi signals nearby. I tried everything I could think of (which was quite a bit), but to no avail.
  • Pros: None
  • Cons: It doesn't work.

Had for about 1.5~2 years

Nathaniel T., Newegg
4 August 2013
  • Summary: should definitely look into the reconnecting thing. hopefully its a bug in the software instead of hardware
  • Pros: Very good connection, almost always have 3~4 bar signal with windows, drivers for windows 7 work very well
  • Cons: have to reconnect to internet with every restart, its strange and kinda annoying, but its a good enough card for me

Unpredictable

Charles S., Newegg
22 March 2013
  • Summary: I can't have an unreliable connection. I'll have to get something else. I have used TrendNet products successfully in the past, but this bad experience makes me want to look elsewhere.
  • Pros: When it was working, it was working well. Solid connection, good download speed.
  • Cons: It was unpredictable. Suddenly stopped connecting. No MAC, no DNS. Frustrating. Maybe tommorrow.
