Summary: I purchased two of these units for my office and home. The wired network works great with blazing speed and it is reliable. It is totally different story when it comes to wireless network, inconsistent as hell! I called the tech support and after spending over 10 hours of going through different network setting, software upgrade and security setting, the inconsistent performance was the only consistent result.
Summary: The unit would power on when you plugged it in, but if you looked at it wrong, or breathed on it, or changed its position, or touched it, it would power off and all of the lights would go out. It would power up again if you unplugged it and plugged it in again. I hope this is just a sample defect and not a symptom of a larger problem. I don't see other reviews like this, and I'm glad. I am asking for a replacement unit.
Summary: I have never in my life had a problem with wired connections on a router. With this router though I have had several right out of the box. For some reason when I plug my wired machines into this router the machines want to use 802.1x Authentication. Since there are no machines on my network to authenticate against the network adapters all go into an error state "Authentication Failed" and fail to DHCP.
Pros: The GUI has a wealth of options (same as DLINK GamerLounge) Wired Gigabit, Wireless N Attractive slick look
Cons: Hardware is very unreliable (Need to manually power cycle several times a day) Poor documentation (for instance there is no mention of default IP to access http configuration page) Odd design (The 3 antennas placed on right side can be problematic)
Summary: Pros: Relativity cheaper. Getting max 14 MByte/Sec on wire Lot of user setting Cons: No JUMBO .... ( some say its there but I think NOT) Wireless service unavailable after a day or so. Getting max 14 MByte/Sec on wire.
