Bought this for wireless access to an already existing gigabyte network
24 April 2014
Summary: The feature are impressive, but even after (repeated) firmware re-installs for lost connectivity issues, it turns out that there's no update for it. They've killed the product so we are monkeys eyeing our footballs, folks. Stars at two. 'Waste not thine time...
Summary: never heard of this company, before i bought it, since it was inexpensive. tried it.. Impressed.. i live in 2 storey home. this router in basement and i get great wifi in 1st floor. and decent in 2nd floor. I would buy trendnet again if their price remains competetive.
Summary: To begin, let me give a bit of background info. I have used and setup numerous wireless routers/modem/switches and I am, unfortunately, a labeled geek. But this is my first wireless N router that I use myself so comparisons to other N routers is a bit moot here.
Summary: The prior reviews on this router pretty much cover everything already, so I'll just add that after nearly two years of service this thing has been nearly bulletproof. I bought this as a replacement for an aging Nexland Wavebase and have not been disappointed.
Summary: After using this unit on my home network for a few months, my wireless and wired computers could no longer see each other. It was as if the networks where 2 seperate networks unable to access each other. No settings on the unit that could explain this problem.
