Summary: I bought this not expecting much, but it was relatively inexpensive so I gave it a go. My laptop is a HP Envy sleekbook with a touchscreen. I don't like it. It is slow and heavy. The wifi was the worst part of the device though. It would fluctuate from 1 to 4 bars constantly. It just couldn't hold a signal. I decided out of frustration to try the TRENDnet 624UB device. It has changed my wifi connection completely. I am so pleased I purchased this.
Summary: Simply put, It works great. I have tested it on laptops that have wireless cards and it outperforms them in every way. My son uses this for his gaming rig which has to pass through a few walls and he has no issues at all.
Summary: Corrected problem wireless connections on vacation at hard to receive wireless locations that I was staying at. Advise you shut off the wireless that comes with your laptop. They seem to cause a conflict with the two operating at the same time.
Summary: I used this for my older computer that did not have wireless built in. It was working great connected to my TRENDnet router. When I switched over to a cable company router, this adapter worked with that router also. The brand is not on that router, just the cable company name, so I can't tell you the brand.
Summary: The installation was easy and straightforward. The signal is strong and doesn't drop - have been using it for over a month, with two different routers - DLink and Belkin. It was purchased for old Dell desktop running Windows XP to get it on wireless network and so far it serves it purpose. One difference - the model we received is black and no blue.
Summary: Have a TrendNet Wireless Router and decided to go all wireless with all my network PC's. We are a tech savey family with two laptops and eight (8) desktop systems. Six run XP Pro, One Laptop with Vista, and one Desktop with Win7. I put the 300 mpbs TrendNet adapter on my new Win7 build, Quad Core 8300, 2 TB HD, 4 gb memory. I made this system dual boot with Win XP pro thinking I may not like Win7.
