Summary: Do yourself a favor and choose a different card! Dealing with this was frustrating enough even before the so called 'tech support' escalated the frustration. I ended up telling her "Thanks you for your help but I'll simply return this to Newegg and get another manufacturer's card."
Pros: Cheap (But you get what you pay for!)
Cons: Did not work at all on the first day. After 3 hours of frustration I called TRENDnet tech to have them tell me, "You need to connect this device to another computer to test it." WHAT? Sure, I always keep a spare computer sitting around to test cheap network card. The car never recognized a wirele...
Summary: This adapter does not work with Windows 7 64 bit. Disregard the compatibility list, it is worthless. So far I have purchased and returned 3 adapters and none of them have worked with windows 7 64 bit. Linksys AE1000, Belkin n300 micro, and this Trendnet, none of which have worked.
Summary: TrenNet routers - my wireless N one is great. USB adapter, sucks more than words can say.
Pros: None I have found yet.
Cons: Bought this in a bundle with a TrendNet router. Router is fantastic, but this thing doesn't work at all. Have tried drivers from disk and from site. It will see the network, and connect to it, but will never get a DHCP address (and no, rebooting hte router won't help). I can plug in another old U...
Summary: tried on XP and windows vista with no luck, even with the drivers from their website.
Pros: not one!
Cons: Biggest piece of plastic waste I've ever owned. Couldn't get a stable signal in 2 different systems. Spent over 1 hour with tech support at trendnet to have them tell me "well try calling back tomorrow". don't waste your time.
Summary: this product worked no better than the g receiver I had used previously. they claim 4x the coverage of wireless g - it was worse than may g. Yes I did have the trendnet N router. Every house is different - it may or may not work for you
Summary: Very dissapointing to see so many with the same problem. I've always like Trendnet products in the past.
Pros: I like the color and the plyable cable.
Cons: Like many others, mine too loses connection with the Internet. It says it's connected, but you can't access the Internet or anyother computer on your network until you do a "repair" this connection. It seems to go to sleep after about 20 minutes. I have checked every setting there is on this adap...
Summary: I bought this with the TrendNet 631BRP router (which is nice). Using latest software and firmware for both. Signal strength is pitiful and the connection keeps getting lost. Tried downshifting the router from N mode to G mode.
Pros: Transfer speeds are fast when it manages to stay connected. It's pretty small. The USB extension cable is stiff but pliable, which allows optimal positioning of the adapter.
Cons: No matter how optimally you position the adapter, the reception still sucks. In a major way.
