Seems to be ok

Ron F., Newegg
26 October 2007
  • Summary: The only thing about this card is the drivers. What i did was find drivers for the Atheros chip set rather than install the drivers on the disk they just messed up my laptop.
  • Pros: Cheap
  • Cons: Cheap drivers

Works!

Anonymous, Newegg
20 September 2007
  • Summary: It doesn't pick up the kids from school.
  • Pros: Works great once you get it setup! Connected at 108 mbps no problem!
  • Cons: Took me a bit to figure out how to set it up. Ended up having to use their software because it wouldn't allow me to install it manually like I have done with other wireless products.

Bad Card for Windows Good for Linux Ubundo

Deborah L., Newegg
14 September 2007
  • Summary: Trendnet needs to do a software upgrade for Windows. With Ubundo you do not use the software they have developed there own and with there's I had no problem with a poor signal using them same router.
  • Pros: Works great with Linux Ubundo. Worked right out of the box just had to type in password. Had a very good to good signal under Linux system.
  • Cons: Very poor signal when I installed it on Window only got a signal if I stood right in front of the route. When I went behind a wall I could not receive signal at all.

A real deal for the money

Anonymous, Newegg
4 September 2007
  • Summary: I live in the country with no hi-speed options. Now I can drive down to the coffee shop and consistently connect at 54 Mbits and download at up to 300 KB and more depending, of course, on the server at the other end.
  • Pros: I have 2 other brands of wireless cards and this one is the best regardless of price. It works so well that I bought another one for my wife's laptop.
  • Cons: It is so cheap that people may hesitate to buy it thinking it can't be good....but it is.

Wireless Bargain

Trent S., Newegg
2 August 2007
  • Summary: Please read the instructions on the Install/Driver CD before doing anything.
  • Pros: It was an excellent card for the price, and a good deal for those who are learning to upgrade their computers. It even has its own wireless mointor for finding access points. Downloads for music are quick and speedy.
  • Cons: The wireless 802.11b speeds are rather low, but otherwise its a great card for the price.
