Cons: newegg didn't list proccesor speed requirements under specifications. needs 300mhz, I have older machine 266PII. also manufacture and newegg claimed it to work with windows 98se. I could not get it to work, no proper dialog and settings box prompts.
Pros: Quick and easy to install. Read the manual! I went to the Trendnet site and downloaded the drivers. Don't know if they were more up to date than the CD or not, but I do that as a matter of course. Nice price.
Cons: Loaded this on a older Compaq laptop and it didn't want to play well with Windows Zero Wireless. I loaded up the software for the card, turned off Windows wireless stuff and this puppy came alive. Took a bit of tweaking, but I think that was the laptops doin', not the card.
Summary: Got it to use with a linux laptop too but have not had time to try yet. Should work as see others have used this card with linux based systems too. This card is fairly slim too. Again Newegg is great!
Pros: Newegg free shipping and great price! This wireless card worked great right out of the box on a windows 2000 machine. Just used the install CD followed directions and after a reboot found netowrk-on line! Signal strength is outstanding and no dropped connections. The site survey on the Trendnet c...
Summary: Sexy price. Worth the buy. Compared to most discount products on Newegg, this one does the job without screwing up. Thumbs up.
Pros: The software isn't as bad as most people make it seem. It doesn't bother me at all and it actually helps in showing the signal bars in my system tray. You pop it in, get the signal, and go online. Works well with 108mbps Super G connections as well.
Cons: The only thing I don't like about it is its light built. I feel like I can bend this thing in half with little effort. Other than that, it has a tight fit in my Dell Inspiron for some reason. Every time I insert it, it has trouble getting the slot smoothly, so I have to push it a little hard to s...
Summary: Sure it works fine for Windows XP, but as it stands this card is useless for Windows 98.
Pros: Inexpensive, good range.
Cons: Drives are horrible, the Wireless application refuses to launch. Bad enough they don't work, they also break Internet Explorer and require a repair. Old drivers also did not work, but at least didn't break IE. Had limited success with the drivers from 3Com and Netgear for their PC cards with the ...
Pros: This is an excellent card. I bought this because of the Atheros AR5212 chip set. I use it on my linux distro with my madwifi-ng driver. One of the reasons I bought this card was for the aircrack-ng suite. WORKS GREAT.
Pros: Relatively fast. Good reception throughout dwelling. Unobtrusive.
Cons: Setup can be messy straight of the Driver CD- no option to install JUST drivers. After installing card, we regularly experienced system crashes and freezes 3-5 times a day. I tried various settings and drivers- from the manufacturer, and the default MS ones that XP provides. Nothing stopped the f...
Pros: Excellent Super G Adapter. Keeps stable connection at 108mps with my TEW-452BRP router. The driver/utility that shipped with the adapter had issues. The latest from the website worked fine. Get the latest here: http://www.trendnet.com/downloads/info/TEW-441PC.htm
