Summary: Bought this unit for an older computer running Windows 98SE and it was advertised as being able to work for this application but nothing I did could make it work. The unit was returned with full refund.
Cons: Not getting a steady signal at all now Up until about a month ago, The signal strength was about 90% never falling below 80%. Now it drops to 15% and stays at about 30% most of the time. Nothing has been changed the location of the router, and this computer is the same. The laptop that we have is...

Summary: I tried this card with Ubuntu and Windows XP SP3. Both have the same issue. The system will begin cycling, attempting to connect to your wireless network over and over, even after it has been connected awhile. This will cause your system to lock up and freeze for 2-10 seconds periodically.
Summary: The software for this adapter was not compatable with windows XP, but I loaded it anyway and had serious software issues as a result. I couldnt even delete this software from my computor. My computor will have to be reformatted it order to make it workable again.
Summary: This is a good adapter for an old computer. If you use it everyday it will connect right away. If you don`t use it everyday you have to hit the repair button and it fixes it right away.I gave it a five because it works really good.I would buy another if this one went out.
Summary: I bought this card for two reasons: 1. It supposedly has excellent Linux support, at least as of Ubuntu 10.10. 2. I was using a tiny little USB wifi adapter through 1 story of my house and a couple walls. I thought I could increase my network performance.
