Summary: I got one of these for my laptop back in October of 2013, and it seemed to work great for a while. Easy to install - the software was pretty hard to deal with, and now it's not working at all - breaks connection repeatedly - even when I have the laptop 3'' from my hi-speed modem. Thankfully, I was able to find the driver I was missing for the built in wireless assistant, and that old laptop is smokin'! Wouldn't recommend this device - cheap, but doesn't last long!
Summary: One of my hobbies involves restoring of electronic devices, and one of these is an old notebook computer; rate of restoration and budget thereof is unfortunately dictated by my pension cheques. This adapter allows access to the wireless network presently in use in my home.
Summary: I bought this to help revive an old IBM laptop. Ubuntu 10.04 didn't recognize it, so I just used ol' reliable Puppy 5.0 which saw it right away. I was back online in minutes. The adapter is working great. Recommended for price, value, and performance.
