Summary: You can not connect more than 2 devices on it, as the router would not be able to handle it. Very weak Wifi signal. Had several and they die more quick than one day flies. Not recommendable only when you using it for 1 or 2 persons.
Summary: The wifi is very weak. Although it gets connected, it's kinda slow after 12 hours being turned on. Disconnecting and connecting again usually fix it. Also, customer support doesn't work internationally even when they sell in foreign countries. Since I purchased in the US I was thinking I could recall here where they're also sold in here.
Summary: The set did not work as described. Description said the adapters would work up to 900 feet on the same power line. The set I received would not work when plugged into the same outlet! Spent about 3 hours online with tp-link techs and twice that online looking at possible causes and ruling them out before calling tech support. Tech support wound up telling me that my computer was not set correctly. With that I returned this set to Amazon.
Summary: Well the honeymoon is over. Initially loved this product, but 2 weeks of constant dropped connection and lockouts. They work great with a daily reboot, but that should be the job of the firmware, not user intervention. I get the same on both the WPA271 & WPA281. TP needs to resolve this. My recommendation is don't buy till you see a firmware fix.
Summary: will try a standard wireless range extender, this doesnt work. Tech support is also hard to understand.
Pros: Completely Useless. Technician told me that if I have a wireless signal in this room why buy this. Also told me that if I have a high power appliance like a fridge the powerline signal will be weak and may not work.
Cons: Worse than useless. 2 computers in same 8x8 room. One connects wirelessly to original FIOS router at 18+ up and 17+ down. Other computer seems to have a week signal as it sometimes seems to loose connectivity (was not doing that when original router was closer). After I added TP Link, computer which got 18/18 now gets 5 down and 3 up. Other computer seems to be connected but did not do a speed test. Oh, one more thing, connecting a computer directly to the wireless tp...
Summary: Set this up at around 8pm the night before with a TP-LINK TL-PA211 as the corresponding powerline device at the existing wired router. Was easy to setup, contrary to the experience of some other users. Got it configured easily and Internet worked great. However, when I woke up the next morning at about 7, the WLAN connection to the TP-LINK TL-WPA281 was strong, but no packets were being sent to or received from the Internet.
