Summary: I struggled for several days looking for solutions to setup this bad product. Finally Colombian customer care helped me setup it through teamviewer (took the tech guy about 45 minutes). It worked for a week and then stopped working again and now it now is completely dead, not even customer case could setup it again. Also, it generates a constant humming sound in my Logitech Z5500 surround system. Very unpleasant experience.
Summary: I needed to have wireless access in a back room and my router wasn't doing the job. Based on input from some IT pros, I decided to try this and it works! Easy to set up and install provides acceptable performance...all I can ask.
Summary: Easy to install, you do need the software to configure the wireless access points. I bought 2 pair of these units and they work great! I have a large house and I put one of the AP up stairs and one in the basement and the coverage is great. Make sure you use the same SSID and encryption key so your devices can roam between the two wireless Ap's. I connected my direct tv box and a desktop PC.
Summary: I don't know why, but WiFi is soaked up by our (lath and plaster) house. Or it's an ancient curse. So my kid the computer scientist looked at me, again, as though I were an idiot, and noted power line. They work remarkably well, though obviously your chained to the Ethernet cable. Good throughput, no outages.
Summary: I bought this less than two years ago, and I have already had to replace the 200mb adapter... The first one went silent in a year, at the time, I thought I was just unlucky, and attributed it to typical Chinese owned manufacture mentality (quantity over quality), it seemed a waste to discard the other module, so I purchased another 200mb adapter (singe) and hoped for the best, this one lasted 14 months, but now it is dead also.
Summary: I was concerned about purchasing this adapter due to the mixed reviews. But I really needed a product that could extend my Internet signal coverage within my home. In my living room, I have a cable modem which is also a wifi and cabled router, not Cisco, nor a high end brand so the signal is lost once you leave the dining room :( . I didn't like the idea of purchasing a wifi repeater and then I found this.
