Sales are for a reason...

James M., Newegg
11 March 2015
  • Summary: yeah, I should've figured, if you keep it in range of at-least 70% it doesn't seem to drop the connection but that's only about 15 feet away from my AP and in the household, it has pretty much made no difference (If anything, more of a headache because the connection is "lost" and all your devices will continue to connect locally to the device without internet causing you to miss notifications and any important data you may sync with your devices.
  • Pros: -Works when it does
  • Cons: -Will lose connection at-least once every 24 hours to your AP if the connection is less than 70%, requires a manual reboot of the device or will not reconnect unless the AP reboots before than.

Easy to set up, hard to keep working

Patrick L., Newegg
10 March 2015
  • Pros: -Set-up was very straightforward. -Signal strength was good
  • Cons: -Started dropping internet connections (but keeping WiFi network up) randomly after about 1 week of operation. Despite resets, this behaviour became more and more frequent. Stopped using after about 6 weeks.

It works

  • Excerpt: Setting this up is not for the average person. Biggest complaint is the resetting after set up. I would get it working then move it from one location to another then it would reset and I would have to restart the programing again.

Easy Setup, Works Great

Anonymous, Newegg
3 March 2015
  • Summary: Great value for the price, super easy setup for those of us that aren't networking professionals by day.
  • Pros: Super easy setup- push a button on your router, push a button on the device, wait a minute, then go plug it in wherever you want it. Seriously. This device radically improved the download speeds in our basement. Movies we were watching buffered 5-10 times per hour. We had not one single instance of buffering after "installing" (plugging in) this device. 10/10 Would plug in again.
  • Cons: None.

Works as should

  • Excerpt: Bought this to boost signal from upstairs bonus room to first floor. I would receive an ok signal downstairs most times but with this extender I now have much better reception. this product is a good buy for the money. took a little to set up but if you follow the instructions and use cat-5 cable for first connection you will be up and running fairly quickly. B&H always has great customer service, Price, and fast shipping.
  • Pros: Fairly Easy Setup, Reliable connection, Secure Connection

Worth the money

Mark, B&H Photo
3 March 2015
  • Excerpt: Our home router is located upstairs in the bonus room, so the far end of downstairs would suffer from weak signal. Installed the Range Extender downstairs in middle of house and it does a good job boosting the signal. I would defiantly recommend this product especially for the money. I sure the high dollar units could be better but this worked great for my use. As always you can't beat B&H Photo for service and fast shipping!
  • Pros: Fairly Easy Setup, Great price, Reliable connection
