Summary: After an hour of trying to get these two units to talk to each other, I gave up. The lights all said that they were connected, but the software said they weren't, and I could not even ping anything that was connected to them. They were in the same room, on wall receptacles, and with one on my router and the other on an opposite wall with a laptop connected, they never made a connection.
Summary: Basically, I bought this to add an Apple TV to my home network (hard wired) as my wifi was not close enough to get a strong enough signal for streaming media. The TP-Link was easy to setup and immediately fixed the problem. I played around with it plugging it into various areas of the house and the performance seemed good everywhere. The only issue I had was paring the devices. The instructions say press the pair button for one second and the power light will blink.
Summary: I bought a single unit by mistake so I ordered another one(price was about the same and I didn't have to post the other one back). I wasn't sure if the two single units would pair up but I took a chance that they would. Out of the box they looked great and they were easy to set up. I just plugged them into a double socket side by side pressed one button waited 30 seconds and they were paired.
Summary: Quick easy setup...worked right out of the box...first try. Replaced a wired network connection. Internet speed test result with the powerline adapter is exactly the same (>30 mbps) as it was with the wired ethernet connection! Gonna buy a few more adapters.
Summary: Email support and they are very responsive. I wanted to know how this would work with the PA211s that I already have and they said it will not have any issues and they were right. Good product too. I have used it for about 3 years now and have not had any issues and love the speed it gives me.
