They work, but no way do these work for streaming HD Video

paperbackaddict, Amazon
25 September 2014
  • Summary: These are plug & play but: - Even when placed on the same curcuit breaker/line under 300 meters will they are NOT fast enough to stream HD video. - I placed them in several outlets and even tested on same wire from breaker panel to ensure both devices were on the same wire which is under the advertised 300 meters and the best I could get was 40-60% signal quality and 100MBPS - not 200MBPS as advertised.

Good until dead, very poor service from TP-Link

Dave, Amazon
20 May 2014
  • Summary: I've been using these for a while, and I have been fairly happy with them. Recently, 2 of my 3 units have died within 2 months of each other. One day I lost my network connection and noticed that all of the lights on my adapter were off. The unit was dead. I contacted TP-Link's support, and they offered no solutions other than: > The device is faulty. So please contact the retailer where you buy it to do the replacement.

Works, with limitations

The Frog, Amazon
25 September 2012
  • Summary: First off, this product *does* allow you to get a device on a wired network extremely quickly. It is literally plug and play! What's more, at times the speeds are even nearly as good as wired speeds (for me, Fast Ethernet/100Mbit). However, in my installation, the limitations start whenever I am trying to do more than one thing at a time over the network.

Doesn't survive for 2 years

Eugeny, Amazon
19 September 2012
  • Summary: I've finally made it work, but it took some time to figure out how to do this in the right way. In addition to poor documentation a few reviewers have already mentioned, there is also very poor light isolation between LEDs which had confused me since I plugged Ethernet cable and wasn't able to notice that blinking LED was for it, not for connection between adapters. Update on 4/17/14: in less than 2 years both devices have died.

So far, not so good

AJ, Amazon
10 July 2012
  • Summary: I received the today (July 10th 2012), I bought them because my wife was complaining about the WiFi range and speed in some areas at home, so my goal was to get more speed in that places where the WiFi do not covered well. The installation was just plug and play, you just have to connect one to your router (cable included), and plugged it into the power outlet, and the other one in the power outlet where you need to get connected to internet, and from there to your...

Comme ci comme ca

Pebbles, Amazon
10 April 2012
  • Summary: The TP link system is ok. I wanted to hook my laptop up wirelessly and perhaps bring a signal into my far away room. Turns out you have keep it plugged into the ethernet cable. At least that is what I am doing and my other two roommates. So maybe I read something wrong, but the directions are not easily read and I am basing that as part of my review.
