Worked great until 20 days after warranty expired

Brian Fuchs, Amazon
17 August 2014
  • Summary: These come with a 2 year warranty. I had three set up on my network. One died 20 days out of the warranty. Actually, I just happened to notice it was dead today, so in reality it died sometime in the last month, but in any event, we are just out of warranty.

Garbage

Matthew B., Newegg
26 July 2014
  • Summary: Choose a reputable brand like Netgear or Dlink. I will never purchase or recommend this brand again to anyone.
  • Pros: Fast when working.
  • Cons: 2 different sets died within 2 years. The 2nd set was just after the warranty expired.

DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL! Poor design leads to a history of failures.

Y. Wang, Amazon
9 July 2014
  • Summary: Worked really well until it didn't. I had this for a year and nine months. Until then, it worked wonderfully. I used this with the modem in the living room and used this to connect my desktop in my bedroom. My roommate also bought an extra adapter and we all had no problems.

Product defective

Holly C Grennan, Amazon
22 February 2013
  • Summary: I purchased the TL-PA211 kit a few months ago and it works brilliantly. I needed another port, so ordered another and it's defective, doesn't link to the others. I'm not waiting for a response from the seller on an exchange. I'll try one more time.

DO NOT BUY FOR THE PS3

M. Robertson "Mr Mike", Amazon
21 January 2013
  • Summary: I bought this product for the sole purpose of increasing my internet speed for PS3 games. My unit is located in another room, with two walls between the PS3 and the router. I was told by a worker at Best Buy that a powerline adapter was my best bet for solving my lag problems on games.

Doesn't work with multiple adapters

Tim N., Newegg
14 December 2012
  • Pros: If they are the only powerline adapters installed, occasionally I can get them to connect.
  • Cons: I get them connected, then plug in my ActionTec 200Mbit adapters and TP-LINK ones go off line. The TP-LINK adapters seem to want to connect to the ActionTec ones or something. Plus connecting these devices even without another adapter in the mix is hit or miss. If I can get them to connect eventu...

non-functional devices

David O., Newegg
6 December 2012
  • Summary: using tp-links utility, one unit would occasionaly show up on network, never the other. kind of a disappointment, purchased on strength of other reviews, expected 'plug and play' - got 'plug and frustration'
  • Pros: needs to work to have a 'pro' comment
  • Cons: kit devices never connected to each other in a way that was usable. lights indicated a connection, but devices (laptop, etc) always got 192.254.x.x addresses. never connected to network. tried updating firmware, no improvement in functionality.
