  • Summary: A bit tricky to aim. It took me several tries from several different spots to get it positioned just right but when I finally got it right it's like I'm in the same room with the router even though I'm across a highway. The public hotspot was too near to not use and this made it work.

Best high gain antenna, sturdy, well made

Fkee "Fkee", Amazon
19 August 2014
  • Summary: It's a bit big but works great. I've been using it for months now and it picks up signals better then anything else I've tried. I live on the fringe of town with no dsl nor cable. in my area. I found a reliable subscription wifi signal 8 miles from my location.

Well built and reliable

PHIL S., Newegg
14 August 2014
  • Summary: Have had units like this in operation since 2008 through all kinds of harsh weather both winter and summer. The antenna is well built and has shown zero signs of deterioration in a windy, hot and cold, 5000' mountain environment serving a five mile link.
  • Pros: Solidly built and dependable.
  • Cons: None

Excellent

Keith L., Newegg
28 May 2014
  • Summary: In a location given to high winds, an outdoor mounting for this antenna looked like a bad idea. I could see no easy way to mount it such that strong wind would not cause misalignment.
  • Pros: Like a flashlight with a narrow beam, this antenna focuses energy, incoming and outgoing, over long distances precisely as it should. Mounted inside a building, and with a bit of math and measurement to get it pointed right, I extended a wireless network to the home office of a manager about 1000...
  • Cons: No cons. But it would have been nice to have a bracket system with finer vertical adjustment.
