Summary: It didn't take much time to put together. 4 stars because the female prong was offset and I am not 100% certain the coupling is occurring of the male adapter. However the performance is on par with a 20 dBi directional antenna, so all is well.
Summary: I use this with my DDWRT router to have a wireless repeater. This offers very good range compared to other products I've tried. One thing I do not understand is that some say if you hook this up with a high-powered wireless receiver it'll perform better. For me that was not the case. The antenna works best hooked up to my Linksys wrt54gl router. It performed very poorly with the high-powered receiver.
Summary: This antenna gets the job done, while clear line of sight will yield the best results, I feel it's pretty well suited for the city & the obstructions that come with city life. I can connect to free wifi about 3 blocks away (90% Signal Strength / 86% Link Strength), while utilizing the antenna indoors on the second floor.
Summary: I really love this item. Works like a charm. I am in a very forested area and I can occasionally pickup other signals. But as I said, I am in a very forested area. Nearest neighbor is 1/4th mile away.
I will follow up once installed - (update) It's big and it works :-)

Summary: package arrived on time and in good order. all parts included. I will post follow up once installed. waiting for cable and network adapter to arrive. 1-13-13 update: Cable and adapter arrived - Yesterday I installed Tp link 2.4g antenna to one post of Amped wireless range extender 10000. I now enjoy local WIFI throught the house. I plan to install outside but for now - in my kitchen with tree's and building obstructions, pointing in general direction of source.
Summary: It's a pretty simple piece, just plug in and point. I have 2 of these, each connected to a tp-link 801ND 300 Mbps access point. I've successfully linked 2 buildings together and haven't had any issues. I'm guessing the distance was around 1500'.
