Summary: I am using this as a receiver antenna for my wireless computer. I didnot see any gain but the longer wire let me place it higher and on top and to the front of my computer thus gaining more slignal
Summary: I bought this when I ordered a new computer with built in wifi on the motherboard because I thought that I would need an external antenna. This connector does not fit the jack on the motherboard however, and I cannot find an adapter.
Summary: I think the issue with my wifi in the house comes from the metal mesh in some of the walls that are still plaster. Didnt see any notable difference in wifi performance after buying this product.
Summary: I have a Rokland n3 and have used it for over 3 years with great results in hundreds of locations. It came with a very short 2dbi antenna and in my current location the best I could get is 4 bars, 73% signal strength and 81% signal quality.
Pros: Base is wall mountable and magnetic, antenna has an elbow so it can be set straight, 45 or 90 degrees.
Cons: No real improvement over my previous 2dbi antenna.
Excerpt: This works better as an extension cord for your antenna. The base is very solid, with a powerful magnet. No signal gain using the provided antenna. I'm just using as an extension and replaced with my current antenna (higher dbi).
Excerpt: I purchased this to try and extend the range of a TL-Link TL-WN722N wireless USB adapter that is attached to a network AV receiver. It failed to extend the range. The range was the same as I had with the adapter itself. It seems to be a quality item, but it didn't do what I needed it to do.
