Pros: I have been looking getting an extension antenna for network card. I noticed that the wording in specs for connection didn't seem right compared to photo. I went to TP-LINKS sight and confirmed my suspicions:
Cons: Where it says RP-SMA male connector, should say RP-SMA female connector. Don't mean to be a correction bug but almost turned me away. But wanted to share for future low level buyers Thank you
Pros: these things are amazing extends the receiving end of my computer well beyond my house I get full bars and no connection problems on my side if you have a Wi-Fi card this is a must I'll never use talking antennas again
Cons: they can be a bit annoying with the cables and placing but hay I do good Wi-Fi out of it
Summary: These are for 2.4 GHZ band not 5 GHZ so beware of that
Pros: Works great very sturdy and strong magnets improved my bars from 3 to 5 great that's what I wanted. I purchased two of them this works great better than a two port one that I had tried from another adapter. You can space them as needed to get better reception.
Summary: having the wireless router and modem on the first floor and my desktop on the second floor I was lucky if I would be able to get 2 bars out of my wireless connection with everything plugged in to my desktop.
Pros: Works, well weighted, magnet on bottom can become handy when used.
Cons: Does not increase my modems speed, but I guess that is fine since its not intended too.
Pros: I paired this with a TP-Link wireless adapter that was starting to go in and out of connection with a router only 20 feet away from my computer. This made the 1-2 bar connection go to 5 bars when the antenna is in the right direction. The magnetic base is awesome as well. I've mounted this upside...
Cons: Some may be put off by how large this antenna is
Summary: This product did nothing to improve the wifi signal in my house. I tried different locations, heights etc and nothing worked. I tested it with my tv, ipad and iphone and saw no improvement on any of these items. The antenna was used with my fios router.
Pros: Significantly increased wi-fi signal reception. I live in a 2,000sqft home with my router on one side of the house and my computer on the other (not an ideal setup, I know). This antenna took my signal from 2 bars with random drops to a solid 5 bars. Upgraded a 4dbi antenna on an older TP-Link ad...
Cons: No real cons. A longer cord would have been nice but they can be bought separately.
