Summary: It's difficult to find the little parts that you need. Newegg has them. At good prices. I'll be a return customer.
Pros: I just moved to a place where running a wire is difficult. I had an antenna network card in the computer, but no antenna. This little guy gave me four bars, while the computer right next to it with dual antennas only gets 3 bars. Very nice.
Summary: For the excellent price, I would definitely buy one again.
Pros: This antenna could see wireless connections that were probably at least a couple of blocks from me. I don't think it would connect to the farthest ones, but it works and works well. It's a fast antenna, only limited by the speed of my slower ISP (25 Mb/sec).
Summary: Some people seem to expect this and other antennas like it to be miracle workers. They're not, nor should anyone expect them to be. In other words, don't expect to go from having no signal to a full signal.
Pros: Windows 7 was reporting "Good" signal strength (3/5 bars) using the included antenna on my TL-WN781ND wireless adapter. Switching to this antenna boosted the signal to "Excellent" (5/5 bars). The 5dBi gain versus the 2dBi gain of the original antenna likely would have been enough, but the magneti...
Cons: The only possible con I can see with this product is that the antenna is not removable from the base. This means that you cannot put the antenna directly on a wireless card, but in most cases it's better off not to locate the antenna there anyway.
Pros: magnetic base airplay wouldnt work unless you were within 5 feet of the av rack that the router is in because the rack blocks alot of signal but once i added the antannaes airplay now works from anywhere on the property huge range
Pros: works great, had a problem with my connection dropping or being very slow, streams buffering all that kind of stuff. put this antenna in same place as stock small one was,now i am streaming 1080p without any buffering or dropped signals.
Pros: Cheap price for a decent wireless antenna. It's significantly better than the little antenna most cheap wireless cards come with and gets a much larger range. When building my sister a computer, she could barely get a signal from the router downstairs with the stock antenna. After switching to th...
Cons: None if you cant get wired directly to your internet and the stock antenna isn't cutting it
Summary: Would have been nice if the description had mentioned the magnetic base on the antenna.
Pros: The cable is long enough so it can be placed out of the way so electronic interferance won't effect it quite as much and bring a noticable boost in signal to my desktop. The original 2dbi antenna the wireless card came with could barely get 1 to 2 bars of signal. With this 5dbi antenna I get 4- 5...
