Summary: I purchased this about 30 days ago and my signal in 99% all the time and I am on 802.11 G 25 feet away from the router, I live in the bottom of a two story apartment and have three walls a closet and a small hall closet with a metal shelf loaded with can & glass food goods and I still get 99% signal, that tells you something right there. I didn't think it was going to improve anything but decided to try it because I could always return it but heck I was shocked.
Summary: I needed a little extra range and reliability. I imagined what I needed and about what it should cost. This item was just what I needed it even had the mag mount for the base of the antenna so it would fit nicely on the desktop PC. Another inportant factor is the connector, it fits right on the antenna port on the card where the other smaller less gain antenna attached. I thought I may need an adapter, it was not needed.
Summary: I have 6 of these antennas installed at a site I take care of and they have improved the wireless coverage in each area that I have used them. Every time I have installed one of these my clients report better connections and extended coverage. A highly recommended antenna at a very good price.
Pros: Long cable, Magnetic base, 90 deg flexible, easy to install
Summary: I have purchased three of these antennas and am very pleased with them. I live in a Ranch style home with the router in an office on one side of the house. The two PC's with wireless cards in the far bedrooms (through 5 walls) got very poor to no signal with the stock antennas on the wireless cards. I installed one on the router and each PC and now get 4 (out of 5) bars of signal strength and a stable connection. Will buy these again in the future.
Summary: Purchased this to replace the stock antenna on a Rosewell RNX-G300E in a WinXP system that connects to a 2WIRE router. Plugged this one in and the signal strength improved dramatically. I'm very happy with the product and will purchase again to improve additional systems we have in the home.
