Summary: After upgrading to iPhone5 and the 3rd gen Apple TV, I know I need a dual band router that can provide me a clear 5G WiFi network. This WDR3500 really does its work. The setup is extremely easy and the 5GHz WiFi speed is much faster than the crowded 2.4GHz WiFi. Here's the speedtest result on my iPhone: 2.4GHz WiFi: Download/Upload = 24.61/4.98Mbps 5GHz WiFi: Download/Upload = 37.88/4.97Mbps That's a huge improvement.
Summary: The set up was a bit confusing to me since I had both my desk top and laptop here. One problem was my fault as I was unaware that the wi fi had been disabled on my laptop. Anyhow, not sure how I got it working but I did! So far the pc's my tv and streaming hulu plus is working without problems. The best point to make is that I have NOT noticed any slow down in video streaming. That was my major concern. At this point I am very satisfied with this router!
Summary: Basically I use this product as an improvement of a hub for my home network. I have a printer to connect, two PCs, several tablets and iphones. I was going to buy the WDR3600 but it was 65.20. Instead I chose this one on a much better price, 49.49, only without the gigabit port. The wireless works well on both 2.4G and 5G. Yes, setting up the printer takes some time, and, you find yourself lost once or twice. But the connection with printer is quite good so far.
Summary: Returned the Belkin for this router. So far so good. No headaches like with the Belkin. I notice that routers with no antenna are the worst. Easy to install since it comes with a mini disc and if you don't have a cd-rom no problem. It has instructions on how to install it without the disc too.
