Plays nice with Linux

Donald S., Newegg
4 June 2015
  • Summary: Needed a PCI card with a SFF adapter, that plays nicely with Linux and this one was IT. Overall, this is a decent card if you just plan on using the standard 2.4ghz band.
  • Pros: I needed a PCI wireless card for an older Dell desktop that I was going to re-purpose, and finding a PCI card (not PCI Express) wireless adapter proved challenging. As this was also a SFF case, I needed not just PCI, but a PCI card with a SFF bracket. This one fit the bill. Card was recognized by...

  • Summary: It worked well for a couple of months, but I started having connectivity issues more and more often. I tried multiple driver reinstalls, resetting network configurations and cmd settings. All the while other devices and computers have been flawless.

It's OK

Patrick P., Newegg
3 April 2015
  • Summary: So basically, just get this card if you're ONLY using it for your computer and don't have any wireless devices further than your computer. Also pray it doesn't drop down to 1mbps for no reason, because you may as well just throw out this card and get another brand.
  • Pros: For the money, it's decent. I got mine for 25 dollars. The speed it offers is pretty good. The adjustable external antennas really help it out. This is a decent wireless card, and finding PCI cards (not PCI Express) are getting harder to find. This one is fully compatible with Windows 8. Just ins...
  • Cons: Here's the not so great part... Since it has adjustable antennas, it might not be too great with certain routers. For example, if the back of your computer is facing the router, you will get a nice 4-5 bars, even through 3 walls, a ceiling, and over 40 feet! But if you turn your computer with the...

So far so good.

Eugene S., Newegg
7 March 2015
  • Summary: Glad I paid a few extra bucks for a stable WiFi card.
  • Pros: Appears to work fine, I've been playing my games on it and no issues. Ran speed test, getting full speed of my subscriber. We'll see how it holds up.
  • Cons: None yet...
