  • Summary: Works better than the straight plugin adapters. It's nice that you can raise it up and move it around for better reception.

It starts fine, but degrades rapidly.

  • Summary: This card does not work if there is more than a wall or two between it and the router. Even if there are no obstructions, the signal is abysmal, sometimes dropping out for not reason. It only gets worse as time passes, after a month it's useless. Wasted too much of my time, don't buy.

I was hoping it would at least get me a better signal to justify its bulkiness

Moh. A., Amazon
  • Summary: Considering it has a huge antenna, I was hoping it would at least get me a better signal to justify its bulkiness. After constant use in different locations both at home and outside, I have found very minimal difference between it and my built in or regular USB Wifi. At some locations it can detect networks when my other cards couldn't, but it was never able to join them or maintain a signal so it was pointless.

Great adapter, works as expected.

  • Summary: Great adapter, gets me excellent reception in my room, which happens to be as far from the router (TP-Link WDR3600) as possible... Have not had any issues using it with either 2.4 or 5 GHz bands, it consistently works just as expected.

Choked Out, Amazon

  • Summary: The thing works great. I originally bought a tiny edimax wireless adapter that claimed 150Mbps and it sucked so bad. I was lucky to get download speeds of 50KB a second. It was crap and cost 10 bucks. With this, you spend an extra 5 bucks and you actually get something that not only works but hits its claimed speeds, I've even had it hit faster speeds for short bursts of time. I thought i was in the matrix. How is this possible I said.
