Summary: I used the included software, but the unit couldn't maintain a stable wireless connection, despite the router sitting 3 feet away. I disabled the hardware, and just plugged in a Rosewill USB wireless device that I stole from my TV, and it has been rock-solid. So, while it worked, it didn't work well for me.
Summary: I bought this to replace another wireless card on my son's computer because he bumped the antenna and broke the connector. I installed the card and the drivers and the card is working perfectly. It's getting a 100% signal to the router which is on the far side of the house. I think this is an excellent value and would not hesitate to purchase another Rosewill product.
Summary: Got here faster than expected, though that seems to be the norm with most of my Amazon purchases. This card is a tiny little thing, even comes with a slim chassis bracket. The cord is kinda short (isn't it always lol) and the antenna is slightly smaller than a normal wifi card. I anticipated this and actually ordered a larger one with 6ft cord is just hasn't got here yet. This one works just fine though. Knocking off one star because the included drivers are worthless.
Summary: This card is easy to install. All you need to do is open up your computer and slide the card into the PCI slot on the motherboard. Connect the antenna to the card. Put the driver mini disc in, looks like a Gamecube game, and follow the instructions. The program automatically optimizes your connection with any internet explorer. You don't have to go to control panel and establish a new connection. That's it! That's all that I did and it works great!
Summary: I bought this card for my Windows 7 64-bit desktop, and it improved the speed greatly from the USB adapter it was replacing. I didn't use the CD that came with it (I didn't even try), Windows 7 installed the drivers automatically from my USB adapter. However, I did use the CD to install the drivers for it on my old Windows 98 PC (I was just curious to see if it would work) and it installed the drivers and it actually worked!!! Windows 98 struggling to load Google.
Summary: My computer is set up against a wall and the old wireless card just was not receiving any signal down by the baseboard. Got two bars in Windows at most. Bought this guy and now I'm at full reception. I did expect the external antenna cord to be longer, I hoped to put the antenna high on a filing cabinet but the cord was too short (I estimate it to be three to four feet long) it does reach my computer desk top though with a bit of slack.
