Summary: I had one of these adapters and it was paired with an old system of mine. It turns out that when you remove the adapter while a system is powered on the bluetooth radio shuts off and can only be re-initialized by the original computer. I did not know this and unplugged it one day and left it at home.
Summary: I never thought to review a Bluetooth Adapter such as this, but noticing (by chance) the many negative reviews here on Amazon, I felt obliged to offer my two cents. As my HP ENVY M6 TouchSmart Sleekbook Touch Screen Laptop - 15.6" Display / AMD Elite Quad-Core A10-5745M / 8GB Memory / 1TB HD / Windows 8 does not have native Bluetooth connectivity, I purchased this adapter several months ago at a local "Best B..
Summary: Completely worthless. Will not connect to iPhone and iPad. Has choppy audio issues with high end Bluetooth headset, making it completely unusable. May be a Windows issue. May be an adapter issue. However, phones and headset work fine with Macintosh. Done playing with this. Not even worth the trouble to return, heading for the bin.
Summary: So I first got this for a Win 7 machine. It worked OK. Then I transferred the dongle to a Win 8 machine and spend hours and hours trying to figure out why it didn't work. I even called their support line but they were not helpful at all. The told me to use Broadcom's Driver which I did but the damn thing one executed, it just hangs on the Detecting Device process. I'm confident that Rocketfish knows about this issue but they just don't care.
