Summary: All of these hotspot boxes stink. But if you don't expect any reliability, you won't be disappointed. I got my first Novatel about 4 years ago at the AT&T store and got some good use out of it. Then it auto-bricked. I could not reflash it although it pretended to. So I bought this replacement and it is worse.
Summary: I went through the process of registering the new seriel number (which required a magnifier to read) and so far have not got the battery to charge. It only works when plugged in which negates having a "wireless" device...I just don't have the time to send it back!!!no instruction booklet accompanied this product.
Summary: We live in a rural community and our other option for internet is dial up. This MiFi has good speed but has a couple of problems. I have never been able to get the power button to work correctly. I have to unplug the unit to turn it off and plug it in to get it to come on. This is the 2nd unit I've purchased and both had the same problem. The unit get extremely hot. I balance it between 2 coasters to let air flow underneath and this seems to help.
Summary: I am an at&t carrier and from ive been told from two different agents is that if I were to put my sim card in from my regular 3G 2gig data plan it wont work. I would have to add a plan to my contract which there is a $36 fee in which case my contract will have the "hot spot capability" There are prepaid cards that will work but they are rip offs like $50 bucks for 1gig kinda deal.
Summary: I FEEL SELLER LIED TO ME . WAS TOLD IT WAS UNLOCK AND SHOULD WORK IN MIDDLE EAST. NOBODY INCLUDING AT&T COULD GET IT TO WORK. PRODUCT WAS LOCK BY SOMEONE MAKING THIS UNUSABLE WITHOUT THE PASSWORD. NOW I'M STUCK WITH THIS WORTHLESS MIFI AND NOW I'M OUT $ 70.00 BECAUSE CUSTOMS HELD IT OVER EXPIRATION DATE OF RETURNING IT.
