I highly recommend this and other Netgear powerline products

Amazon Customer, Amazon
  • Summary: I purchased this product along with the Netgear Nighthawk Wireless router and powerline 500 Ethernet product. Setup was truly plug and play. The powerline products all connected through my home's electrical wiring plant without any issues – just plugged them into my electrical outlets and started using them.

Good product

  • Excerpt: this is overall a good product. When I installed the powerlink in my office that has very weak wireless signal, it improved the connectivity a lot, making it easy to surf in the Internet in a room that I had never good connectivity before. I just don't give five stars to this product because it sometimes looses connectivity.

Really Happy

Aaron, Staples
14 November 2014
  • Excerpt: Living in an old home in Baltimore is great, love the location, love the ambiance, love being able to walk to the inner harbor, having said that don't love how difficult it was to get a wifi signal in our bedroom, especially when the signal was rather robust one room over on the same floor. Did some research and found this little set up. I have used range extenders and boosters before with varying degrees of success.

  • Summary: Perfect for running Ethernet throughout your house through existing AC wiring. Comes with heard wire and wireless devices. I have 7 of these connected in my house and detached garage. 4 of them are the wireless hotspot devices. 3 of them are hardware devices. Easy to set up; and high speed too!

SOLVED 8 YEARS OF WI-FI ISSUES IN 3 MINUTES.

  • Summary: SOLVED 8 YEARS OF WI-FI ISSUES IN 3 MINUTES. THIS IS A REVIEW OF THE NETGEAR XWNB5201 POWERLINE 500 MBPS N300 WI-FI ACCESS POINT: I purchased this product with low expectations as I have purchased multiple devices to include "boosters", multiple high end wifi routers, etc. over the years with limited to no success. I live in a historic home built in 1920.

No bad...

T "T", Amazon
26 September 2014
  • Summary: This has worked so far getting internet into my basement office. It started to get a little glitchy and needed to be unplugged and replugged a few times, as most of these things tend to do, after a few months - I suspect from being on 24/7, it was extremely hot to the touch. I've gotten in the habit of unplugging it when I leave for the night and it's worked fine since. A minor inconvenience, it works great otherwise.

  • Summary: Great way to extend wifi in my house. I integrated these with previously installed Netgear 200 Powerline units and although it was a bit tricky, it all worked out fine. Performance is excellent.
