Summary: After trying get my wireless working right across the house and upstairs I just got frustrated with drop outs! Now that I have this guy setup and 2 other power line 500's in other rooms I have yet to have any problems and get 1g throughout the house! I can't say enough about how great these little guys are!
Great alternative to stringing Ethernet wire to our family room!

Summary: Have been putting off for years a project to hard-wire Ethernet access to our family room smart TV, DVR’s, etc. With the greater throughput vs. Wifi, I was most pleased with this solution. Did have to find the best transmission fit with the source outlet for this signal but once I resolved that issue, this system has been perfect!
Summary: I have several 200 units. Some would work with this 500 unit others will not. Can't figure it out. Can't really see any speed increase with this 500 setup. A bit disappointed. It works, but not much faster.
Summary: I have had this unit for three weeks. It works well when it's connected. The problem is that I have to recycle the power quite often, even though all the three LEDs are lit solid, it just won't connect.
Summary: I got the 200 mbps adapter kit last year and wanted to upgrade to the 500 mbps this year. I replaced the old equipment with the new 500 mbps and it works great. Our LAN speed is improved and stable.
Summary: These powerline systems have improved a great deal over the years. The powerline wireless untis that I first encountered, years ago, were very difficult to set up. Now they are virtually plug-N-Play. This four port "switch" component worked perfectly with my already existing NetGear powerline devices.
Would recomend this over wireless for streaming video.

Summary: I have two systems and use the one base and two hubs. I use this to connect my DVR to the internet and to view DVR recordings from other rooms. Much better service than wireless and easier to setup and more secure. You may have to power up and down the systems a 2-3 times a year, but that takes about less than 3 minutes, depending their location.
