Summary: We have a somewhat rambling old house with double-wall brick construction, and were having trouble getting the wireless signal in the corner office in our basement. This was a simple, cost effective solution.
Summary: I am using this to connect my Blu Ray player via ethernet rather than a less dependable wireless connection. We also use one to connect our network to another building on our property that would be awkward and expensive to hard wire into our network. Success depends, in part, on your electrical wiring circuits. They are truly plug and play. Indicators have improved since the last model but can be confusing--so read the documentation.
Summary: I already had a Powerline AV 200 kit with two adapters. I got this one for a new ethernet connection in a different part of the house. Per the instructions, I pressed the button for two seconds on this adapter, then pressed the button for two seconds on an existing adapter in another room. The internet came up right away in the new room. Works like a charm!
Summary: I initially bought this product as a kit (2 adapters) to eliminate a long data cable that was snaked through my home from the modem in the study to my satellite box in my living area. After much review I settled on this product and I was not disappointed. I plugged in the first one and connected it to the modem, then I plugged in the second one and connected it to the box. It took the system about 30 seconds to sync up and everythig went smoothly from then on. PERFECT!!.
Summary: This product works! It's easy to set up, but you need to have the "base station" also available here. The internet flows to your device over the electrical wires in your home without any disruption to electrical service, and at high speeds!
