This is NOT the WiFi version of the adapter!

Amazon Customer, Amazon
24 March 2014
  • Summary: Great product, but don't make the same mistake I did and confuse this for the WiFi adapter! They have the same name so its confusing, which is Netgear's fault and not the sellers... but I thought all XAV2001's are WiFi adapters like my first one, which is not necessarily true.

Should have passed.

  • Summary: Very Poor Product even when you have the right pairs..or maybe it was the seller i bought from - this did not act right and I have a matching pair to bring into the picture. Not worth it. HOWEVER other netgear products are great - you must buy these brand new or one level up from this model.

Powerline networking vs. WiFi

Abram, Amazon
4 January 2014
  • Summary: If you haven't heard of powerline networking, you're in for a real treat! AC current (the electricity in your house) changes direction 60 times a second. However, computers send bits of info thousands of times faster.
