Summary: Just a quick note, these do work well, but they have been replaced with the faster WNHD3004 which are available on amazon at asin B006FRKX5E for a single unit (~50$ as of july 2013) or B004BQDWIQ for a two unit kit (~$90 as of july 2013) During this product's lifetime, I also used D-Link's DAP-1522...
Summary: I purchased several of these units for the purpose of extending the internet to two areas where an in wall cable would not have be practical to install. One unit was plugged into the router, the other two were in the remote locations about 25 feet way and were configured as a wireless bridge.
Summary: Like some of you, I was having a wicked time trying to stream HD/3DHD movies to my consoles and other devices. Sometimes it worked, but most of the time it was very choppy. I purchased two Vizio HD dual band routers that used the 5ghz wireless-n signal and 3 of these. FLAWLESS.
Works very well with NETGEAR N600 Wireless Dual Band Router WNDR3400
20 June 2011
Summary: I bought this one for my son's xbox live connection at the basement. I have netgear N600(wndr3400) router at the second floor. I was able to connect this bridge WNHDE111 to my netgear router using WPS. I had to set my router's security encryption at WEP for 5ghz band.
Summary: I feel that this was a pretty good investment so that I could stream movies to my TV through netflix. I have had no trouble at all with streaming and would recommend it to anyone that needs another connection.
Summary: Purchased this AP because my blu-ray and dish receiver are located on the other side of the house. After the initial setup to pair with my WNDR3700 it was working great for streaming from my dish receiver and blu-ray updates etc.
Summary: Setup was a little rough (mostly figuring out how to connect to it for initial admin tasks), as noted in other reviews, but once it was set up, it has been running great. I use it to connect my main PC to a Netgear Dual-Band WNDR3700 without having to run a network cable.
