Summary: I bought this to be a wirless extender for my house. I have the Nighthawk router which does cover all of my house but for streaming in the back room it could lag a bit. This was extremely easy to hook up and get set up. Now even working outside I can stream pandora to my devices with no buffering or intteruptions. I have had it hooked up a little over a month now and I can not stress enough how awesome it work and the ease oof setting it up versus other brands.

Summary: This is a decent, typical access point. My only complaint is that Apple products refused to connect to it. For the life of me I don't know why but they simply would not connect. I bought Apple Airport Express units and everything connected fine. Keep that in mind if you're a heavy user of Apple products. I am successfully using this elsewhere for connecting PCs.
Summary: Unstable, unstable, did I say unstable? Went to mfg website, installed firmware update. Still unstable. maybe if you install DDWRT or Tomato it will work fine, not sure. Netgear has reputation for good h/w, so if you can get s/w stable should be good unit.
Summary: Netgear is my favorite manufacturer for home wireless products. Their gear seems to last so much longer than any of the others I've used in the past (Linksys, I'm talking about you) and it doesn't usually take too much to configure them. I bought two refurbs of this model AP to increase coverage around my home and they seem to work well. I updated them to firmware version 3.1.1 without an issue and wired them up on different sides of my house.
Summary: I purchased this unit 2 years ago. I forgot to do this feedback option. The machine is still clicking along. It's been smacked off its black plastic pedestal by 3 cats (gorilla taped the AP onto its bracket). The NAT cable was ripped out (several times) by the same cats and my family. The cable's dongle ripped off. I fixed it using electrician's tape to anchor it to the AP's plug in. The bloody AP sits on the living room floor & broadcasts in a concrete-walled condo.
