W P., Amazon

  • Summary: Works as designed. However, it naturally slows down the throughput so for me the xbox was better off with a weaker signal directly from my router than the stronger signal. Easy set up. I'd return it but not worth my time.

keep looking

Maldawg1, Amazon
9 January 2015
  • Summary: bought this about a year ago. The down side to this product is that I had to put it really close to the source for it to get a signal. Also, I have to reset it frequently. It works but I'm sure there are better products out there.

Not boosting enough

L. Adams, Amazon
17 December 2014
  • Summary: I choose this because I have Netgear modem and rouher, but it took several tries to find a location that maintained a steady signal from the router (all green lights). However, even with a steady signal it doesn't appear to boost the wi-fi signal well enough to allow my wi-fi ready blu ray to...

interesting

Bette Szesny, Staples
4 October 2014
  • Excerpt: Purchased this device so I could obtain coverage on my deck which was lost when I had to purchase a new modem & router (although I purchased top of the line units, these did not give me the area coverage I had with my old setup).

Works, sort of

Manuel D., Newegg
1 October 2014
  • Summary: Got it and installed it using the WPS setup in the manual that came with it while near my Netgear router. All went well, so I moved it to near midway between the router and the unit I wanted to connect. The 2G worked, but the 5G wouldn't lock, so I moved it closer to the router and both locked.
  • Pros: Connect to my WIFI without issue using the WPS setup. Was able to connect a Wi-Fi PC previously out range of my router to my network.
  • Cons: Adds a _2GEXT and _5GEXT to the router SSID which is causing me no end of grief trying to connect devices previously connected to the router through the extender. They do connect, sometimes, then drop out or can't find the internet even though I did enter the passcode when I first connected. Also...

Router works fine. Browser interface is very cumbersome

JohnBike "Longbike Driver John", Amazon
3 September 2014
  • Summary: Router works fine. Browser interface is very cumbersome. Still trying to get passwords set so I can lock it down. At least Netflix works better, plus my laptop when I work in the dining room.

Bought just to stream audio.

Larry LaRue, Amazon
2 May 2014
  • Summary: While this was purchased with only the idea of streaming music in mind I could not justify the price of a new retail device so the refurb was more in line with want I wanted to spend. As a DNLA streaming device it did work but not without a few hiccups.

We'll see.

J. Jackson, Amazon
3 February 2014
  • Summary: Bought this because one of my Vuezone cameras is just at the edge of our router signal and will not stay connected. The camera is on our front porch up on the ceiling. We also bought a Doorbot which was out of range when mounted outside to the right of the door.

Just ok

Forest Barbieri "Skills for Success", Amazon
3 January 2014
  • Summary: This is just ok. Easy to setup but will not hold the signal for long and wavers in and out. The 2 Mghz seems more stable than the 5 MHz but still not a great solution. Worth $50...not really!
