Summary: I connected my Netgear Range Extender to my Tri-Band WiFi Router (Netgear Nighthawk) with both the 2.4 & 5 ghz rate. My wifi router is at the 2nd floor of my house & it's signal can only reach some parts at the 1st floor. So I decided to put the range extender at the 1st floor. I was able to connect the extender to the router and connect several devices to my extender, an iphone, an ipad, & a smart TV.
Summary: It worked occasionally for my husband, rarely for me. But since it worked some, it was very hard to figure out that it wasn't the phone or computer causing it. One of the most frustrating products I've dealt with. Right in the middle of working on the internet from home, it would suddenly not work, no rhyme or reason to it. I do not recommend this product to anyone. We had to go buy a new one and didn't get a refund on this one.
Summary: Silly me. The first one I purchased worked extremely well for 6 months after a very easy setup. Then my whole network would never connect. My ISP spent a couple hours checking their incoming service. Nothing found. I decided to just unplug the N600 and my WIFI restored. Guessing it was the Netgear, I decided to fo out and buy another extender. At my age, I don't remember things well, and by mistake, I purchased another N600.
Summary: The "documentation" consisted of a slip of paper saying 'download the documentation from our website.' It didn't provide a direct download URL, so I needed to search the site for it. Once I found the documentation, the setup procedure was very tedious. I had to run through it three times before it worked (that should have been a warning). Everything worked great for a few days, and the devices started to hang when using it.
