Remond S., Amazon

  • Summary: This refurbished Netgear N600 dual band Wi-Fi extender works as promised. I do like the fact that it has a USB and a WLAN connection, I use it with a CAT5e cable going into a Laptop in an upper floor with good results. Don't let the refurbished detail bother you ...

Not super special

N/A, Newegg

  • Summary: prolly a waste of money but I supply wifi to my neighbors(shhhhh!!! But internet SHOULD be free!!!) and I wanted to give them a strong signal. I'll update later.
  • Pros: simple to set up
  • Cons: only somewhat effective. my wifi analyzer indicates that the original signal and the extended signal are pretty much the same strength.

Networking made easy!

Tra Da Stay, Amazon
27 June 2015
  • Summary: I was looking to improve my home network signal downstairs without having to add a new modem. Combine with Netgear N600, I now have a strong signal. The extender was easy to installed. Especially since I was already using the genie made by Netgear.

  • Summary: Works as designed. However, it naturally slows down the throughput so for me the xbox was better off with a weaker signal directly from my router than the stronger signal. Easy set up. I'd return it but not worth my time.

Not worth it

Christine P., Newegg
10 June 2015
  • Pros: none
  • Cons: It is not explicitly written anywhere on the item or in the materials that come with it, and they won't share this information with you unless you specifically ask a Netgear support person, but when you connect to your router via this range extender, your download speed is cut 50-75%! my Comcast ...

  • Summary: Didn't even work for 12 hours. The unit seems hot and although all of our mobile devices were able to connect initially, later the same day all mobile devices can see the Netgear but nothing can connect.
