Could not get it to work with my Verizon router

Peter Hawtrey, Amazon
  • Summary: I could not get it to work with my Verizon router, so I bought the NETGEAR Dual Band ac WiFi Router R6300 which connected well with my Verizon router and this Netgear WIN2500RP extender. I also have two Netgear 8 port switches, which have worked very well. In general, I think that Netgear's equipment is very good and I suspect that this Extender just needs more work on the part of Netgear development.

it's alright, but I expected better range.

  • Summary: Works great in about a 20 ft range, kind of expected more for the money. Next time I'll do some more research before buying.

... advertised so far but the customer support is really terrible. A note comes inside the box of this ...

Tirra, Amazon

  • Summary: The unit itself seems to work ok/as advertised so far but the customer support is really terrible. A note comes inside the box of this product telling you to update the firmware. It gives you a web site to go to and a login/password to enter to do this. Except when you go to the website, there is no place log in. There is "live chat" option though. So I clicked on that. A representative came on and asked for my phone number.

Extender

Nancy, Staples

  • Excerpt: Still not sure it is what I need for my problem. Sometimes my laptop has a signal and other times it takes 5 or more tries. I have had an issue with getting a signal in rooms that are 30' or more away.
