Summary: The WN121T had great speeds when it worked. It started dropping connections several times a day and required a computer reboot to regain a connection. Things future BUYERs should know before you buy any Netgear product. After 90 days...
Summary: I purchased three of these (WN121T USB ) units to install throughout my house for general internet connection to the Netgear DGN 2000 DSL Wireless N router. I have found this combination to be very satisfactory for my rather basic needs at home environment.
Summary: Not only is the signal horrible, but the drivers are something I have never seen before. The Device manager was actually recongizing this as netgear, and when I rebooted it recognized it as some other brand I never heard of.
Summary: Ever since I got this adapter, my computer has been randomly freezing up and crashing. I've narrowed it down to this adapter as being the source of the problem. I've done all the trouble shooting I can do, been to Netgear's site, updated drivers, etc., etc.
Summary: The adapter works OK at 130mps. Does not maintain a signal at "N" speed two rooms away from the router in a normal house. It also only scans channels 1-4 so you have to set the router up to only broadcast on one of those channels. Other than that it was easy to install.
Summary: Overall the product is good. Range and strength of signal are excellent. However, the network controller program included is hard to setup--I had to install and uninstall numerous times before it would work, and I still do not know what I finally did right.
Summary: I read the reviews here first and was a little apprehensive about whether the Netgear Rangemax was going to work or not, but so far so good. The installation was striaght foward and only complicated by Windows Vista (ugh!
